Jay Mir is the founder and CEO of American Premiere League (APL). Born in Lahore, Pakistan, Mir has been an avid cricket fan his entire life.
Mir went to Punjab University in Lahore and graduated with degrees in business and political science. At 21, he moved to the United States and has been an entrepreneur ever since. A true go-getter, Mir has developed businesses in real estate, retail, and now, cricket.
“The Cricket revolution in America” is at its peak with APL receiving endorsements from legendary cricket stars around the world. Inspired by the cricket-loving communities across the world, Mir named the APL teams after these communities instead of cities or states. Mir is leading APL as they currently conduct trials of hundreds of prospective cricket players across the United States. Mir sits on the Advisory Board of APL.

Asif Jamal is the President of American Premiere League (APL) and the Chief Operating Officer of ARY Digital Network North America. He became COO when ARY Network decided to expand and create a corporate division in the United States and Canada. With a background in the music industry and film, Jamal brings experience in media sales, marketing, branding and strategic partnerships to APL. Jamal has a master’s degree in international relations from Karachi University in Pakistan and various certificates in leadership management and conflict management. Jamal sits on the Advisory Board of APL.
APL Theme Song Director and Producer
Pakistani rock icon Ali Azmat began his career as lead singer for the iconic Pakistani rock band Junoon (dubbed the U2 of South Asia by the New York Times). As lead singer of Junoon, Ali fronted the largest rock band in South Asia. He joined the band at its inception in 1990. The 10 albums they released between 1990 and 2003 sold 20 million albums worldwide. In 1998, Ali and Junoon took Pakistan and India by storm with the hit single “Sayonee” from their tremendously successful fourth album “Azadi” released by EMI. In 1999, Junoon won the “Best International Group” award at the Channel Music Awards in New Delhi. In 2001 Ali appeared in the VH1 News Special Islamabad Rock City, a rockumentary on Junoon hosted by Susan Sarandon. In 2002, Ali was nominated for an Emmy award.
Azmat will be directing and producing the theme song for American Premiere League. Azmat also sits on the Advisory Board of APL.
Victoria Morgan is a prominent resident of Northern Westchester County, New York, and a pharmaceutical executive with 23 years of industry experience. She is currently a senior executive at Boehringer-Ingelheim, where she leads a cross-functional global team consisting of healthcare professionals within Global Pharmacovigilance Operations. Ms. Morgan also spent 15 years at Pfizer, where she held various positions, most recently as Director, Worldwide Safety and Regulatory Operations. Ms. Morgan has traveled extensively to the United Kingdom and India through her work, which is where she got her exposure to cricket. Ms. Morgan sits on the Advisory Board of APL.
Eraj Abidi is Maryland-based pharmaceutical executive and businessman. He holds a BS in Sciences and an MS in Engineering Management from the University of Maryland and has over 15 years of pharmaceutical and healthcare experience. Abidi started his career working for his family at Pharmaceuticals International, Inc and then worked for Endo Pharmaceuticals, Teva Pharmaceuticals and Becton & Dickinson. In 2020, Abidi launched his own ventures Dive Medical Billing and Dive Staffing Services. An avid cricket fan, Abidi is the President of 22 Yards Cricket Club based in Washington, DC and has participated in various cricket leagues and tournaments across the United States. He recently launched the biggest cricket tournament in the DC metropolitan area, the Unity Cup Cricket Tournament. Abidi sits on the Advisory Board of APL.
Originally from India, Michael Virk moved to the United States in 1996 and settled in Pittsburgh, PA. Virk is a prominent businessman, with a career touching multiple industries, including real estate and food services. Currently, Virk is the founder and CEO of a restaurant chain called Pizza Palermo, which has several locations across Pittsburgh. He also owns several T-Mobile dealerships across Pennsylvania. Virk is well-known in the local Pittsburgh cricket community and has participated in multiple high profile cricket tournaments across the United States. Virk sits on the Advisory Board of APL.
Muhammad Ali is the founder and president of EVO9X (Evolution of a Champion), a full dye sublimation facility in Edison, NJ which manufactures and sells sports uniforms. A die-hard cricket fan, Ali also owns the “Lahore Badshahs” cricket franchise in the Pakistan Super League of New York. Ali is a prominent member of the Pakistani Expat Community in the United States. Ali sits on the Advisory Board of APL.
Sherri Beaton’s background is in the health and medical field working alongside doctors and nurses as a medical screener / practice manager. She is a mother of 3 beautiful girls. She has a passion for sports. Her husband, Thomas Beaton, has been a professional cricket player most of his career. He now has his own cricket coaching business in Perth Western Australia called TOM BEATON Cricket Academy (TBCA). Ms. Beaton purchased this franchise in the hope we can grow cricket in America. It’s been a long time in the making. With her managing expertise and Tom’s knowledge and passion for the sport, she is positive we will go far in growing the sport we love. Ms. Beaton sits on the Advisory Board of APL.
Sam Singh is a prominent businessman from New Jersey. His business portfolio includes owning a very successful construction company, real estate development and a chain of clothing stores throughout the east coast.
Singh grew up playing cricket and has a strong love and passion for the game. Singh is the proud owner of Premium Indians Cricket Club, a team that represents his favorite sport and his home country. Singh sits on the Advisory Board of APL.
